
The 2017 Honda Civic Type R made its world debut last month at the 2017 Geneva Auto Show but this past week made its North American debut at the New York Auto Show. The 2017 Honda Civic Type R will be the first Honda Type R ever sold in the United States.
The Honda Civic Type R features a 2.0-liter i-VTEC Turbocharge engine that kicks out 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque with a six-speed manual transmission and Adaptive Damper System and Limited Slip Differential. The Adaptive Damper System controls the suspension for exhilarating handling and stability on and off the track, while the Limited Slip Differential provides tighter cornering and better control behind the wheel.
Inside the Honda Civic Type R is race-inspired bucket seats to keep you in place as you put the pedal to the metal while still being comfortable for everyday driving. The Honda Civic Type R also features a Customizable Digital Meter Display to show you boost pressure, g-forces and track times to help you maximize your performance.
