Which Honda Vehicles Are Made In America?

Honda has been a long-time leader in the number of vehicles built in the U.S. and their impact on our economy. Since 2006, Honda cars have led the Cars.com American Made Index, which measures how much of a car's production is done in the U.S. and Canada and their impact on the U.S. economy. The Honda Passport, Honda Odyssey, and Honda Ridgeline are all in the top ten. In addition to these top three vehicles, the following are made in U.S. Honda manufacturing plants:

Where Honda Vehicles Are Made in the U.S.


There are over 12 Honda manufacturing plants spread across the southern and Midwest states in the U.S. These manufacturing plants produce some of the most popular Honda vehicles, parts, engines, and even Honda aircraft and their components.

 

 



Lincoln, Alabama, is home to the Lincoln Auto Plant, or Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, where they have built over 6.5 million vehicles since opening in 2001.

The Honda Passport, Honda Pilot, Honda Odyssey, and Honda Ridgeline are all made at the Alabama plant, as well as V6 engines.

The Honda Transmission Plant in Tallapoosa, GA, makes around 375,000 V6 automatic transmissions annually.

The Indiana Auto Plant is located in Greensburg, IN, where they employ 2,600 workers and make about 250,000 vehicles annually.

The Honda Civic Hatchback, Honda CR-V, and Honda CR-V Hybrid are all made at the Indiana factory. The Indiana Auto Plant started production of the Honda Civic sedan in 2008 and has since expanded by investing $50.2 million to expand production to some of America’s most popular vehicles.

There are three manufacturing plants in North Carolina that produce Honda aircraft, aircraft engines, power equipment, and Honda ATVs:

  • Swepsonville Plant: 75,000 Honda all-terrain vehicles, 30,000 snow blowers, and 30,000 tillers are produced annually.
  • Greensboro Plant: The HondaJet aircraft is produced at the Greensboro, NC, plant.
  • Burlington Plant: Responsible for producing Honda aircraft engines.

Ohio is home to four Honda manufacturing plants.

Marysville Auto Plant

The Marysville Auto Plant makes the Honda Accord. The plant employs around 4,200 workers.

Anna Engine Plant

The Anna Engine Plant in Anna, OH, is where Honda produces about 1,180,000 engines annually for Honda vehicles, including electric motors.

Russells Point Transmission Plant

The Honda Transmission Plant in Russells Point, OH, makes over a million continuously variable transmissions, Hybrid power systems, gear sets, and transfer cases annually.

The Honda plant in Timmonsville, SC, has been a leader in Honda powersports for over 25 years. It’s one of the major Honda plants in the U.S. and an exclusive production facility for Honda side-by-side vehicles like the Pioneer and Talon.

North Carolina

There are three manufacturing plants in North Carolina that produce Honda aircraft, aircraft engines, power equipment, and Honda ATVs:
